Founded over 50 years ago by Terence Doherty, Restex Beds & Furniture is a family business with deep roots in Donegal. Today, the company is led by Terence’s son Dermot, with both its manufacturing base and showroom located in Letterkenny.
Restex has built its reputation on quality craftsmanship, personal service and products designed to last. From handcrafted beds and luxury mattresses to furniture for every room, our products can be found in homes throughout the North West - as well as in many leading hotels across Donegal and beyond.
What began as a local family business has grown considerably over the years, but the values at the heart of Restex have remained the same.
Restex began with a simple belief; that quality furniture should be well made, comfortable and built around the needs of the user. With that came the idea that customer service began way before any customer interaction and ‘customer experience’ should be a constant through the manufacturing process.
That philosophy was established by Terence and carried through the family from one generation to the next. Over the decades, the business has evolved, the showroom has grown and the product range has expanded massively - but the same hands-on approach and pride in the finished product remain central to everything we do.
Today, Dermot continues that tradition, combining decades of family knowledge with modern design, new materials and an ever-growing range of custom options. It is a heritage we are proud of, and one we continue to build on with every bed, mattress and piece of furniture that leaves our Letterkenny workshop.
